By placing your order, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Order placement and fulfilment
Translation and proofreading orders shall be placed and confirmed in writing only. The work shall be carried out with due care and under consideration of the terms agreed within the order confirmation and shall be delivered to you in the agreed format, by the agreed delivery date. Where required, you shall be obliged to grant a reasonable period of grace. You shall be obliged to provide me with such documents as are required to carry out the work, for example, specialist terminology, related texts, illustrations etc. If you do not comply, I shall not be held responsible for any resulting errors. In case of doubt, I reserve the right to either consult with you or to carry out the work to the best of my understanding.
2. Correction of errors
I reserve the right to correct any errors and it is assumed that you shall check my work on receipt. Any errors shall be notified in writing within 2 weeks of the delivery date. After this period, the work shall be deemed accepted.
3. Liability
I shall be liable only in case of gross negligence and intent. Liability in case of slight negligence shall only apply if vital contractual obligations are affected. Liability for recourse claims by third parties is expressly precluded. In all cases, liability shall be limited to the order value. Any liability shall terminate 6 months after delivery date. I do not accept liability for damage or loss during delivery.

4. Confidentiality
I shall be bound to treat with utmost confidentiality all texts and facts made known to me during the course of my work for you.
5. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, my fee shall be paid in full within 14 days of invoice date. In addition to my fee, your invoice shall include any expenses incurred, such as postage and courier charges. Once entrusted to the agreed method of delivery, the transport risk shall pass to you.
6. Retention of ownership and copyright
Until the invoice has been settled in full, the work shall remain my property and you shall not have right of use. My copyright for translations is reserved under § 3 UrhG.
7. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
For all disputes, German law shall apply. Invalidity of one or several of the above conditions shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions. Place of jurisdiction for both parties shall be Bonn, Germany.
