1988-1998: The Body Shop International PLC,
Littlehampton, West Sussex: Export Executive for
Northern Europe, then Special Projects Manager for
Northern Europe, operating in Norway, Denmark, Finland,
Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Following a
company restructure, joined the New Markets Team to research
Eastern Europe and South Africa as potential new
markets. Wrote in-house manuals in German and English.
German-language voice-overs for Body Shop videos.
1998: Move to East Yorkshire, North of England.
P&O North-Sea Ferries, Hull: liaison between the
retail buying offices in Hull and the shops on board
the ferries.
2001-2008: Freelance translator German-English

private correspondence, poetry, prose, tourist
brochures, travel programmes, medical reports,
alternative-medicine texts etc. Self-employed researcher
for a management consultancy.
2008: Return to Germany.
